This stunning antique choker necklace features gorgeous faceted amethyst glass cabochons set in bright gold tone brass rub-over settings. There are 11 large glass oval cut paste stones and ten smaller stations. The smaller amethyst glass stations are set in scrolling foliate motif settings. The paste gems are hand-cut with charming large facets. The details in this necklace speak to the high-quality craftsmanship of a bygone era.  When held up to the light, the sun shines through the pastes; when worn against the skin, it appears darker and moodier. This well-crafted, Antique piece of costume jewelry is captivating and a treasure to behold and keep forever. This unique antique piece is ready to wear, collect, or gift to someone special.

CONDITION
This stunning antique necklace is in lovely condition; however, it is over 100 years old and does have age-related wear. The original necklace closure has been replaced with a mid-century style hook and eye closure; this repair has some visible solder. However, it is only on the back of the piece. Two of the paste stones have tiny chips- this is not noticeable during wear, but I did want to mention it. Overall, it is a gorgeous antique necklace that would make an excellent addition to any antique jewelry collection.

We chalk it up to character and love it, but it is essential that we fully describe any wear, no matter how minor. Each piece is carefully inspected, tested, and fully described before it lands in the shop.
